In case of L.V.M patient (male, 54 years old, in Hanoi), he went to Medlatec General Hospital to check periodically. At the time of checking, the patient did not show any abnormal signs (no abdominal pain, eating and normal urination).

Patient M said that his family had a history of many lives with colon cancer, so he was very worried.Earlier, the grandfather, aunt and brother of the patient were all suffering from the disease.

A year ago, when the patient's brother discovered colon cancer, the doctor suspected of having a family factor, so the patient went to the doctor and discovered colon polyps. After that, the doctor cut polyps and perform a biopsy from the sample, the results of high dysplasia.

What to do when there is a genetic cancer?

MSc.BSNT Luu Tuan Thanh - Gastroenterology,Medlatec General Hospitalsaid that the case of patient M, although the body does not appear any abnormal signs, there is a high risk factor, so the patient actively goes to the doctor.Fortunately, the patient has detected precancerous lesions. These lesions, if not detected in time, will risk progressing into colon cancer.

Symptoms of colon cancer in the early stage are often vague, easily confused with benign digestive disorders. In order to detect gastrointestinal cancer early in general and colon in particular, doctors advise people to maintain a habit of regular health check-ups, especially those with high risk factors, so screening 1-2 years/time.These subjects include:
